Bonnie was born in 1922. She is the daughter of Chauncey Hollingsworth and Nina Wilhoit.

Bonnie Harris, 88, of Strasburg, IL, formerly of Morton Grove, IL, died at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in Sullivan Health Care Center, Sullivan, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 in St. Paul's Cemetery, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Strasburg is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Harris was born on January 15, 1922 in Charleston, IL, the daughter of Chauncey Raymond and Nina Wilhoit Hollingsworth. She graduated from Eastern Illinois State Teacher's College, Charleston and Roosevelt University, Chicago. Bonnie gave private music lessons in the Winnetka Public School District for many years. She enjoyed golfing and gardening. She married Robert Harris on November 27, 1957. He died on January 21, 1983.

Surviving are her brother-in-law, Ralph Buesking of Strasburg; sisters-in-law, Cora Lee Hollingsworth of Plainfield, IL and Evelyn Aldridge and husband John of Elmwood Park, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; two brothers; and two sisters, locally including Annette Buesking.
