Biography

Richard Hollingsworth was born in 1843 in Flintham, Nottinghamshire, England to Paul Hollingsworth and Mary (Tatum) Hollingsworth. His birth was registered in Bingham, Nottinghamshire in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Tatum.[1]

In 1851 Richard Hollingsworth (age 7, Scholar) lived at Main Street in Flintham with his father Paul (35, Carrier), mother Mary (40), and brother George (5, Scholar).[2][3]

In 1861 Richard Hollingworth (age 17) lived at Lea End in Alvechurch, Worcestershire with his father "Richard" [Paul] (44, Farm Bailiff of 130 Acres Employing 2 Men & 2 Boys), mother Mary (50), and servant Walter Celley (20, Farm Servant).[4]

In 1871 Richard Hollingsworth (age 27, Grocer) lived in Birmingham, Warwickshire with his brother George (25, Assistant Grocer) and four boarders: Henry Allen (20, Assistant), Edward Allcott (17, Assistant), Thomas Mansfield (17, Grocer Apprentice), and William Parsons (15, Porter).[5]

Richard Hollingsworth married Mary Jane Reeves in 1878. The marriage was registered in Birmingham in the last quarter of the year.[6]

In 1881 Richard Hollingsworth (age 36, Retired Grocer) lived at Gladstone Rd in Aston, Warwickshire with his wife Mary J (34, Retired Grocer) and servant Mary Ann Trueman (18, General Serv).[7]

Richard Hollingsworth passed away in 1882, aged 38 years. His death was registered in Aston in the first quarter of the year.[8]
