You've probably been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You should have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to help!

You've been here for three weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better. You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer. As always, your questions are welcome!

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for joining us! I’m David, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

Did you have fun learning your way around WikiTree yesterday?

I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

Thanks for volunteering, Andrew! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community. Once you sign the Honor Code, you may start adding profiles.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour to help new members learn their way around. The first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree. Tomorrow, a Mentor will check in to see how you're doing and answer your questions. You'll get a message about the next stop on your tour next week.

To meet other WikiTreers, check out our G2G forum. Here's the G2G Question of the Week: What is your most memorable genealogical discovery?

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the WikiTree family!

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, which means that members work together as a single collaborative team. The Honor Code is our guide to keep everything functioning smoothly as we work on one BIG tree.

The initial email from us has links to get you started. When you confirm your email address, you'll have an option to volunteer to add information to WikiTree, beginning with tags for your own profile. Tags are how we keep up with new information on surnames, locations, concepts, etc.

If you volunteer, a greeter will confirm your membership, and you'll be on your way!

P.S. I'm always happy to answer questions.

Queen Elizabeth II Andrew is 19 degrees from Amelia Earhart, 46 degrees from Stephen Hawking, 22 degrees from Jamie Nelson and 24 degrees from Queen Elizabeth II Windsor on our single family tree. Login to find your connection.
