Note N64Yep, that's the way Dollie's house looks now. I have a number of pictures that were taken over the years. I would like to post them online. Must learn how to do that. My Mother always wanted a nice picture of the house where she was born with no people in the picture. There was one with Austin Gray, Dollie and the kids in front of the house when my mother was about 5 years old. She didn't like it Êuse her father had built the house 'n she didn't like her step-dad. So, several years before she died, I had a local artist do a charcoal sketch of the house wo the people. I took it to her for Christmas and by that time had smarteneded up to the fact that I needed to do some tape recording. I set the recorder out and she opened up the gift and my oh my the stories that came rolling out. That's when she told me that her little brother (the twin that had been born with her sister Mahala) was buried under the big tree in the yard. The story was that Os Gray came home drunk, kicked Dollie in the stomach when she was pregnant causing the premature birth. The little boy was dead but Mahala lived for about a year. Mom said she wasn't "right" and died. She is supposedly buried at North Grove. There is a stone there for her and her brother. --Janice Pankratz. 1
