Biography

"He moved to Pocahontas Co., Va., in 1838, and from there to Upper Glade, Webster Co., Va., in 1842. He married Margaret E. Given, June 17, 1845. She was a daughter of Samuel and Mary Given, and was born July 10, 1825.

Austin Hollister was a farmer. He held the office of Chief Justce, or president of the county, for three or more terms. He died May 31, 1860. His family reside in Upper Glade, Va."
