Frederick "was a resident of Utica, N.Y., for many years, where he amassed a fortune, and lost it subsequently in vast manufacturing and railroad schemes; died in New York, Dec. 16, 1863; married Jane M. Stanton, in 1835. She is a daughter of George W. Stanton, of Albany, N.Y., and was born there Aug. 6, 1815."
