Biography
"Elizabeth was the fourth of eight known children born to Gideon Hollister, Jr. of East Glastonbury (Eastbury), Connecticut. Her father had two wives, and it is uncertain from which of the two Elizabeth was born. For reasons discussed in her father's memorial, she is presumed to be with the first wife, whose name remains unknown, but who was a daughter of Stephen Hollister.
Elizabeth was married in East Glastonbury, CT on 10 February 1788 to Reuben Beebe, Jr. She was called Elizabeth Bebee in the division of her father's estate in 1812. She and Reuben eventually moved to Arlington, Vermont, where Elizabeth's older brother, Asahel Hollister, also moved. Elizabeth and Reuben had at least three children."[1]
