"Elisha Hollister of Osnabruck, United Empire Loyalist, (and seems to be confused with Elisha Hollister (1767-1833), the son of the Patriot Capt. Elisha Hollister who died 1 Nov. 1800 and is buried in East Glastonbury, Conn.)
Elisha Hollister, Loyalist, born about 1773 in the U.S., and died in Osnabruck Township, Canada West after 1840 and before the 1851 Census.
Likely the same as who owed money for "rents of Clergy Reserves" in Upper Canada in 1839.[1]
1813 - Elisha Holister (only one L) in Johnstown for services rendered[2]
From Upper Canada Land Petitions for Elisha Hollister:
Elisha Hollister's children all petitioned for land between 1834 and 1850.
1851 OSNABRUCK Census - Widow MARY (WAGGONER) HOLLISTER, (widow of Elisha Hollister), age 78, living with her son John Hollister.

NOTE: Please note that the Loyalist Elisha Hollister who came to Canada after the Revolutionary War and settled in Osnabruck Township, Stormont County, Upper Canada and married Mary Waggoner in 1794. Is Not the same Elisha Hollister (1767-1833) from the book "The Hollister Family of America - Lieut. John Hollister of Wethersfield, Conn." Two different people - Loyalist Elisha Hollister - it has been learned from Upper Canada Land Petitions that Elisha was born about 1773, resided in the U.S. before the Revolutionary War, was a Private and Fife Major in the K.R.R.N.Y., and farmed Lot 22, Concession 3-4, Osnabruck Township. His children were all born in Osnabruck Township, and Elisha is probably buried in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Osnabruck Twp. with several of his children.
WHEREAS Elisha Hollister (1767-1833) from the book "The Hollister Family of America", and well documented, as follows:
(Parents) Elisha Hollister (Memorial 40361252) born in Glastonbury, Conn., died 2 Nov. 1800 and buried Old Wassuc Cemetery/Old Eastbury, East Glastonbury, with his second wife Penelope Graves. There is a gravestone for Elisha Hollister (Sr.) that reads "Revolutionary War. Capt. Elisha Hollister. 6 Co. 6 Regt.1777. Died Nov. 1 1800 (Age) 77":
(Son) ELISHA HOLLISTER (Memorial 170574581) - born 3 Sept. 1767 - died 8 Dec. 1833 in Glastonbury, Conn., and was buried by the side of his father in the Old Wassuc/Eastbury burying ground. Elisha married twice: 1. AURELIA FIELD (the mother of his children) (1778-1816), married 1793. 2. Martha or Polly Munn, who only lived for a year after their marriage. Elisha Hollister studied medicine with his brother-in-law, Dr. Asaph Coleman. Elisha settled in Gill, Franklin Co., Mass., where for a number of years he practiced successfully, and was one of the most eminent physicians of Franklin Co. In addition, he owned a large farm, and during the early years of his practise was very wealthy. He died in Glastonbury, Conn., Dec. 8, 1833, and was buried by the side of his father in the old Wassuc/Eastbury burying ground.
Both Elisha Hollisters had large familes and therefore would have been kept mighty busy in their respective homes in Canada and the U.S. "
