Biography

Elijah was born about 1797 in Edgefield, SC. He was the son of Jordan Holloway and Rebecca MNU. He passed away on 8 Apr 1869 in Edgefield and is buried at Proctor Family Cemetery in Greenwood Co., SC.

Research Notes

An abstract of Elijah's will published online suggests in a parenthetical that the testator was a son of Jordan Meekins Holloway, but there is no proof. The estate records of Jordan Holloway, who died intestate in 1815 with widow Rebecca had an heir named Elijah Holloway who was paid a distributive share.
