Sallie was born in May 1863 in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Quinton Holloway and Mary Jane England Holloway.
In the 1870 United States Census, Sallie is living in Yalobusha, Mississippi with her parents and siblings. Quinton is a farm laborer. [1]
