obit of Mary Winifred Holman A Tribute to the Late Mary Winifred Holman God in his infinite wisdom plunks the choicest bud from his earthly garden that they may blossom and scatter their fragrance around His heavenly throne. This was again shown on February 9th, 1904, claiming for his own Mary Winifred Holman, the eighteen-year-old daughter of Mrs. Nannie Holman. It is very sad that one so young should be taken, but as God knows best we would only say, "Thy will be done." While her loved ones and friends, her place will never be filled, all should find sweet consolation in knowing she is with the angels of glory, where she is free of all evil temptations and the sorrows of this world. Mary was a kind and lovely girl and possessed of a disposition which won for her the love and esteem of all who knew her. She united with the Greenwood Baptist Church and was baptized at the age of thirteen, since which time she has shown herself to be a true Christian girl, ever ready to do good and give a kind word or smile to every one. Even in the time that health was fast failing her and disease and pain racked her body she was cheerful and submissive to the will of her Lord and Master. How deeply she seem to realize that God never afflicts in anger, but does all things well. This thought should give comfort to the grieving ones and although she was the second flower plucked from the home in a short while, there is a bright ray, the evidences that both have gone to that home prepared by Christ for all his children. We should not grieve for them, when we know that they have gone to the great beyond, where to-day they are happy with their Savior and the loved ones gone before. A Friend
