By 1784 Thomas was listed in Wilkes County, North Carolina. He is last found on the 1830 federal census.[4]
Thomas made his will dated Feb. 7th,1833,Wilkes ,North Carolina. In it he leaves half his plantation to his wife,Elsa Holeman. It totaled of 125 acres and the dwelling house,as long as she remained a widow. To his son he gives the other half. If his wife should die or remarry, the son would get all . To William Holeman 50 cents, To Daniel Holeman 50 cents, Molly Hall ,50 cents, To Rachel 50 cents, to Margaret Wadkins 50 cent, to Dianah 50 cents, Rebecca Kindall 50 cents, to Didimama Wright 50 cents, Betty Profet 50 cents. Wife and Joseph to pay out of my cattle property.Too Milly five dollars to Lurana Davis 50 cents, to Vienna twenty dollars . Wife get to keep all of the rest of the cattle, until death or maariage. Then it is equally divded among my children. Appointed William Tugman and wife Elsa exec.[5]

On June 8,1779 , Thomas Linville , John Vanderpool, and Thomas Holeman were among the men chosen on jury to veiw a road from near Thomas Johnson's up the Yadkin River into the other road near Linville's old meeting house.[6]

In the name of God amen,
I, Thomas HOLEMAN, of the State of North Carolina and County of Wilkes, being weak in Body, but sound of mind and memory, bless the Almighty for the same, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:
1st. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elsa HOLEMAN, one-half of my Plantation on which I now live, being in all 125 acres with the Dwelling House as long as she Remains a Widow.
2nd. At my decease, I bequeath to my Son, Joseph, the other half of my Plantation and, at my wife's Death or Marrige, for him to have all the Plantation on his paying to Nancy SAINT CLAIR 25 cents; and I give to Molly HALL, 50 cents; and to William HOLEMAN, 50 cents; to Daniel HOLEMAN, 50 cents; to Rachel HANSBURY, 50 cents; to Margaret WADKINS, 50 cents; to Dianah TRIPLET, 50 cents; to Rebeccah KINDALL, 50 cents; to Thomas HOLEMAN, 50 cents; to James HOLMAN, 50 cents; to Didmama WRIGHT, 50 cents; to Betty PROPHIT/PROFFIT, 50 cents. And, furthermore, my wife and Joseph pay (out) of my Chattle property to Milly, $25; and to Surana DAVIS, 50 cents; and to Vienna, $25.
I allow my beloved wife to hold all and singular my Chattle property to her death or Marriage and then to be divided equally among my children. Appointing William TUGMAN and my wife, Else, Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby Revoking all Wills by me made. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 7th Day of February A.D. 1832.
Signed and published and declared by the above-named Thomas HOLMAN to be his last Will and Testamen in the presents of us who, at his Request and in his presents, have hereunto set our names as witnesses to the same.
