Joshua is shown as a carpenter in the 1871 census for Hanstport, Nova Scotia.[2] They moved to Mass about 1871-2. They were living in Essex County, Mass (Mt. Vernon Street) in 1880, according to the census. They were also living near Boston, Mass in 1899, according to the obituary of Sarah (Snide) Fox.
The 1871 census shows three children (Elizabeth, Frederick, and Mary W.); the 1880 census adds Arthur F, and does not mention Elizabeth.
