Dorothy Mabel Holmes was born in 1891 at Waterloo, New South Wales, Australia. She was the only daughter of William Holmes and Susan Green.[1] She would lose her mother to disease in 1912 and father, killed in action in France, in 1917. Her only surviving sibling, Basil, would serve in the Indian Army.
She married Reginald Travers in 1914 in Sydney, New South Wales.[2]
She passed away, aged 71 years, in 1962 at Chatswood, New South Wales.[3] She was survived by her husband and sons.
