Edward Hinds, son of Thomas and Ellen, was born at Yass in 1864. In 1891 he married Mary Jane Holmes at Yass. Mary was born at Yass in 1872, daughter Robert Holmes and Julia Cecilia Cooke, married at Yass in 1871.
The first of Edward's and Mary's seven children, Thomas, was born at Gunning in 1898, the second, Robert, at Bourke in 1900, and the remainder, Alice, Aubrey (known as Harry), Joseph, Gladys and John, from 1902 to 1914, at Parkes, in central western NSW.
Mary died in 1936 at West Wyalong and is buried at Wyalong in central western NSW. Edward died in 1940 in Sydney and is also buried at Wyalong.
Of Edward's and Mary's children Harry is buried at Grenfell, in central western NSW; Thomas is buried at Wyalong; Robert, Francis and Gladys are buried in Sydney; and Alice is buried at Canberra, ACT.[4]
