Holmes-5650 and Holmes-1283 do not represent the same person because: Holmes-1283 died young while Holmes-5650 married and had children. One is likely attached to the wrong parents
Holmes-5650 and Holmes-1283 do not represent the same person because: This is the fourth time this merge has been proposed (see comments on Holmes-1283). The first three times, I set it to an unmerged match because Holmes-1283 died young and Holmes-5650 married and had children, therefore they cannot be the same John Holmes. Setting them to a rejected match until someone can provide primary/reliable source indicating which one was the son of John Holmes-1284 and Rachel Waterbury.
Holmes-5650 and Holmes-1283 are not ready to be merged because: These may be two different John Holmes. I don't believe the profiles should be merged without a primary or reliable secondary source that shows that this John Holmes is the son of John Holmes-1284 and Rachel Waterbury-72.
Holmes-5650 and Holmes-1283 are not ready to be merged because: These profiles should not be merged until the issues with Holmes-5650 are resolved. Holmes-5650 appears to be a combination of two different John Holmes: one who died young, per Jacobus, and one who married Sarah Clark. Unless a source is found that connects the John Holmes who married Sarah Clark to parents John Holmes and Rachel Waterbury, this merge should not be made.
Holmes-9259 and Holmes-1283 do not represent the same person because: John Holmes-1283 died young and would not have been married. Need a reliable/primary source to confirm that the John Holmes who married Sarah Clark and had a daughter named Rachel was the same John Holmes who was the son of John Holmes and Rachel Waterbury.
