When I researched this profile so I could merge them I did not find anywhere that his first name was John.

Holmes-13047 and Holmes-12883 appear to represent the same person because: Although first name of John is not present in surviving profile, both born in the same year and place, died on same day and place, and both had a wife named Sibello which should seal the deal that they are the same person.
