Biography
William was born in 1894. He is the son of Robert Holmes and Sara Egle.
Colonel Holmes was a member of the Coast Artillery in the First World War, ordered to A.E.F. in 1917; at front from April to November, 1918. Transferred to Field Artillery, 1924; Major, 1935. Now Lieutenant Colonel with Wisconsin National Guard (1940). [1]
