It is not clear that the entry refers to this family, but is a reasonable speculation given that Bridget and her husband claimed to live in this same street ten years later.[10] She presumably lived with her parents in Sydney in January 1851. in Macquarie street.[11]

She may have attended the wedding of her sister in the marriage of Henry Hugh Hill and Bridget Holmes in St. James' Church of England on Monday 20 January 1851 in Sydney. Bridget and Henry went on to have four children together.[12][13]

She may have attended the wedding of her sister in the marriage of William Patrick McMunn and Albina Hyde Holmes in St. James' Church of England on Monday 17 January 1853 in Sydney. William and Albina went on to have some 10 children together.[14][15]

Margaret and Jane Holmes attended the wedding of Henry Hugh Hill and her sister Maria Holmes in a Presbyterian ceremony on Tuesday 1 September 1863 in Rockhampton, Queensland. They also signed the marriage certificate as witnesses. the manse next to the church on the corner of Bolsolver and Derby streets.[16][17][18][19]

Maria's younger sisters Margaret and Jane stayed in Rockhampton with the new Hill family until two months after the wedding, returning in early November.[20] She and Jane Holmes were found on a passenger list on 5 November 1863 from Rockhampton to Brisbane.[21]

Her adopted father died 1 July 1864 at the approximate age of 70. Margaret was aged about 38 when this happened.

Her adopted mother died 11 January 1865 at the approximate age of 65. Margaret was aged about 38 when this happened.

Margaret lived in 1919 in Darlinghurst.[22]

Margaret died in 1919 in Randwick.[23] Her body was likely interred in Rookwood Cemetery (Catholic section) on 4 April 1919 in Rookwood. PLOT Sect. M2 Row L Plot 1500 MEMORIAL ID150135035.[24][25]
