I received your note about your accidental creation of a duplicate profile. We don't normally delete duplicates, we merge them. So you need to merge the two profiles together. You will merge the higher number profile into the lower number and don't worry about one having more information than the other. All information will wind up on the merged profile.
Go to the Help Index under the Help tab at the top of the page and look for information on merging. Here's a link to the M Section. There is also a video listed there created by one of our members and it's very helpful. You might want to take a look at it.
Let me know if you have any problems.

My paternal Holmes line traces back to New Brunswick and possibly the American colonies and my ancestors were Irish Baptist. I have tested my ydna and have an interest in helping the Holmes ydna project discover more Holmes lines. Have you tested your ydna or would you consider testing it? I am also trying to bolster the Holmes One Name project here at Wikitree if you would be interested in it. Take care and thanks for all your work on the Holmes surname. Ryan Holmes
