Biography
Eleanor May Holmes was born in Wales in 1893, [1] daughter of William Holmes and his wife, Mary Jones. Her mother died in 1901 by which time her father, William Holmes had established himself at Trowbridge in Wiltshire where he drove steam railway engines for Great Western Railways. [2][3]
In 1912 she married soldier, Victor Charles Leonard Fryer, son of James Fryer and his wife, Sarah Jane Hobson. [4]
Being divorced from Vic she married Edmund Collinson in 1925. [5]
Eleanor died in 1988 aged 95. [6]
