I so happy to find you on wikitree. My Holmes line has Irish ancestry, but I don't know from where. My oldest known ancestor was Daniel Holmes who lived in New Brunswick, Canada in 1851. He was a Free Will Baptist farmer and claimed Irish nationality. We could share a common male ancestor. I've done a lot of dna testing, both autosomal at Ancestry and y-dna testing at FamilyTreeDNA.
