Son of John Holmes,III, and Rebecca Shaver. Husband of Nellie Elizabeth VanWormer (who is buried in Lansing, MI), Father of Daniel Werner, John W., Henry, Sarah (O'dell, Payne), Alvah, Reuben L., Matthew, Sharlott (Cook, Shearer), and James G.
As I visited this cemetery, I was informed that many stones had been moved to build on to the church. There were many stones leaning on others or stacked in the fencerow. Reuben's stone was still standing on it's own, thank goodness.
