She married Mark Lee Masencup 27 May 1980 Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. He is the son of Joe Thomas Masencup and Lena Smith. Susan was 21-years-old and Mark was 22-years-old as recorded on their marriage certificate. This was the first marriage for both Susan and Mark. Jennifer B. Carter and Sharon Williams were witnesses to their marriage by W.R. Burke, Magistrate. They had one known child.
