Take a left on Bethlehem Church Rd NE (1st road after crossing the little river). Take a left at the next fork – Red Oak Grove Rd N. The cemetery is on a hill across from Red Oak Grove Church of the Brethren. Fenced in and well maintained but Mary Ann Sutphin, who had been to this cemetery many years ago, was surprised at how badly some of the stones had deteriorated at this date. Part 1: A blend of my account of this cemetery June 2003, and an account by Mr. Marvin U. Neighbors, deceased 1982. My entries are in black and I only had time to record about ½ of the cemetery. I started at the farthest point to the left of the gate to one row to the rt of the gate. Anything in (), I'm not sure of but Mr. Neighbors account filled in many of these holes. Everything noted in red is from Mr. Neighbors. Part 2: Mary Anne Sutphin notes from her visit to this cemetery. Part 3: Last are notes from an unsigned account but Judy Blackwell believes this may be the work of Evelyn Rutrough. On the last page a note states: copied 1970 and kept up to date. What I found interesting is that the 1st 8 pages is in the same order as Mr. Neighbors almost exactly. Maybe they worked together??? But because it is almost exactly the same as Mr. Neighbors, I m only going to note the differences.
