She married Jacob Maupin 22 Jan 1842 in Owensville, Gasconade County, Missouri.[1][2] The ceremony was performed by David Stites. They had twelve children:
The 1850 Census[3] shows her at age 26 with her husband and the first four of their children in Boulware Township, Gasconade County, Missouri.
The 1860 Census[4] shows her at age 36 in the household of her husband in Canaan Township, Gasconade County, Missouri, with the first eight of her children.
The 1870 Census[5] shows her at age 44 with her husband in the same location, with nine children at home. Three of the older children have "left the nest," and four more were born since 1860.
The 1880 Census[6] shows her at age 54, widowed, with her sons Presley and Benjamin in Canaan Township, Gasconade County, Missouri.
The 1900 Census[7] shows her at age 75, widowed, living with her son Lafayette in Canaan Township, Gasconade County, Missouri. This census states that she has given birth to twelve children, and all twelve are still living!
She died on 14 Jun 1902 in Owensville, Missouri and is buried at the New Salem Cemetery, Gasconade County, Missouri.[8]
