George Thomas Honea was born on March 16[1], 1879 in Jackson County, Alabama. His father was Benjamin Honea and his mother Sarah Carpenter.[2]
At the age of 21, George was still lived at home and worked on the family farm as a laborer in Garth, Jackson County, Alabama.[3] By 1920, after his father's death he moves to Trenton, Jackson County, Alabama. He still works as a farmer on a farm with several of his brothers, and his mother continues to live with them in the same household.[4]
At the age of 51, George married widower Willie Ann Woods, formerly White, on March 14, 1931 in Jackson County, Alabama.[5] After his marriage, George sets out on his own. He still lives in Trention, Jackson County, Alabama, but he no longer lives with his extended family. He owns his own farm and makes a living with his new family, farming.[6]
George Thomas Honea died on August 13, 1971 in Scottsboro, Jackson County, Alabama.[7] He was buried at Trenton Cemetery in Trenton, Jackson County, Alabama.[1]
