There is nothing indicating that Alice (d. 1643), wife of James Ashton (d. 1651) was surnamed Honeychurch.
As a repository of current and past journal articles on New England ancestors, a search was made at AmericanAncestors (New England Historical and Genealogical Society online resources. Search for Alice Honeychurch and Roger Honeychurch found one article page 299 and 300 of the Register Vol 43 (1889) in the Genealogical Gleanings section by Henry Waters. This can be found also at Google Books. Genealogical Gleanings in England, Volume 1 by Henry Fitz-Gilbert Waters. The pertinent references are on p 336. The article begins with Margery Pate on p. 327. The article has nothing to do with James Ashton. It instead proposes a possible solution to the parents of Providence's Roger Williams, stating that Roger Williams' mother was Alice Honeychurch, daughter of Roger Honeychurch.
This profile said she was from St. Albans, Hertfordshire, so a search was made in the 1897 printed version of the parish register of that place. There are no Honeychurch's listed.
Alice Honeychurch was the daughter of Reverend Roger Honeychurch, Vicar of Mildreth, Diocese of Ely and was born 1582 in Aveton Gifford, Devon, England,
Since Alice Honeychurch, daughter of Roger Honeychurch, was not the wife of James Ashton, we do not know her marriage, death or children.
