Augustine was born circa 1718-1720. Augustine appears in records with his brothers John and William. His parents were Augustine and Phoebe Crews. John and William are specifically mentioned in the will of Thomas Crews Jr. in 1728 as he leaves them bibles. Augustine is not but at this time he is thought to be 7 or 8 years old at this time. His brother William is often confused with his 1st cousin of the same name. Augustine married Ann Edwards (likely in Brunswick ) and had 5 known children. He also is closely associated with a nephew named William, who was the son of his brother William ( and wife Aileen McNeil )

John( who married Choctaw women. ( proven by his grandson's Dawes rolls application. )

Meredith married his 2nd cousin Dicey Honeycut.

Lydia has one illegitimate child with Douglas O"Niel

Britain married an unknown.

Augustine 3rd married Rebecca Farmer

Augustine also had two 1st cousins thru his uncle John (who married Martha Mathis )who also moved to North Carolina at the same time but were more in proximity to the Joseph Garner family who first moved to Orange County NC before moving to Johnston NC.

William who married Ester Garner ( buried on Edmund Mathis's plantation Six Runs)

Ambrose who married Charity Garner ( stayed in Orange County) (mentioned in only one record circa 1748 ) Charity is mentioned in her father's will as Charity as well as her sister Ester in 1769 both as Honeycutt

William and Ester Garner had

Fredrick, ( of Roberson County) Drury ( of Johnston County) William married Nancy Faircloth Dicey ( died in SC ) married her 2nd cousin Meredith Robert ( died in Tennessee ) no issue

William is often confused with William who married Aileen McNeil. (There are clearly two elder Williams mentioned in militia rolls in the 1760s.) William had one known child

1. William who fathered many illegitimate children proven by Bastard Bonds. He was never married.
