Biography
When Huldah J Hood was born on November 25, 1855, in Georgia, her father, Stephen, was 37, and her mother, Jane, was 33. She married James Alexander McCluskey on October 22, 1876, in Gadsden, Alabama. They had eight children in 14 years. She died on November 3, 1891, in Etowah, Alabama, at the age of 35, and was buried in Gadsden, Alabama.

She was the daughter of Stephen Reed Hood (1818-1883) and Jane Sewell Hood (1822-1887). She married James Alexander McCluskey on October 22, 1876, in Etowah County, Alabama (Book A, Page 297). They had eight children: John H. (1877-1878), Lula Cornelia (1879-1947), Robert Lee (1882-1931), Andrew Stephen (1884-1931), Leila M.J. (1886-1916), Mattie E. (1887-1922), Mollie Evelyn (1889-1969), and Huldah (1891-1893).
