DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Sarah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Sarah:
John Hood Jr & his wife Hannah Barnes had 1 daughter Sarah b. Nov. 5, 1771& d. in 1831 BUT she wasn't married to a Jarvis or O'Brien. She married Walter Tolley Worthington & had 8 kids. Mary, Martha, Elizabeth, Comfort, Hannah, John H, Samuel & Charles. This info is from the Shipleys of Maryland website.
I appreciate your comment on Sarah Barnes and will take that into consideration moving forward. When I took another look based on your question, I realized I've had lots of problems on this particular line for years, so for me, it's not a simple fix. I've found so many conflicting issues with John Jarvis II being connected to a Sarah - names of Sarah O'Brien, Sarah Ann Richards and Sarah Barnes. Unfortunately, I don't have the time right now to do the research that it will take...hours upon hours, to go back through all my records to try and sort things again. As for the record showing Sarah Barnes instead of Sarah Hood, you're correct, I'm not sure why it was listed that way. Thank you again, for your information to help sort this out. Also, thank you for the source book...lots of great information!
Dnk-6 and O'Brien-796 appear to represent the same person because: Must be the same person, not sure what DNK stood for, but, believe that it is the same as unknown...

In 1795 John Sr's wife Elizabeth Shipley Hood mentions her granddaughter Sarah Worthington & in John Hood Jr's will of 1795 he mentions his daughter Sarah Worthington. There were several different Hood families in Maryland around this time. Maybe she belonged to one of them. I don't understand why you have her as Sarah Jarvis formerly Barnes? Was she a Barnes? If she was a Hood her name should be Sarah Jarvis formally Hood.
