Howdy Toby, I noticed that there appeared to be some inadvertent cut and pasting between the father and the son, both Nathan Hood's. The son received some of the father's bio and date of death and sources, including the father's marriage date and source for it. The marriage date above is correct for both, but the son has a copy of the father's date of death. Since the father remarried in 1782, his date of death of 1792 seems correct. There is therefore no reason not to believe that the son's date of death from the Essex Historical Records is not correct, namely March 23, 1772. (Tragically, that means he died young, leaving his wife Mary with 5 young children - a 9 year old, a 7 year old, a 5 year old, and 3 year old twins, all boys! Hopefully she found some help!)
