Biography
Anne was baptised in Pauntley, Gloucestershire on 2 February 1655 by parents John and Mary Hooke. John was a 'Gent'. [1]
Anne married William Rogers by Licence on 2 January 1684 at Oxenhall, Gloucestershire. [2]
Anne died in 1728. She had been living in Crooks, in the Parish of Pauntley. In her Will she mentions the following people:
- Son in law Francis Biddulph of Ledbury
- Sister/daughter? Elizabeth (she did have a sister Elizabeth b. 1657)
- Kinswoman (sister): Margaret Edmunds, her husband Christopher, a butcher and her daughter Ann Wood, b. 1694, married Samuel Wood in 1719.
- Sister/daughter? Mary Knight's children
- ? Carpenter of Picklenash
- Nephew. Philip Furthor
- Granddaughter Constance Biddulph (received £250)
- Kinsman Mark Clark, daughter Ann
- Grandchildren Edward, William and Ann Clarke
- Daughter Jane Clark
- Mark Clark was the executor of her Will. [3] Apart from personal possessions Ann had tenanted houses and land to bequeath.
Ann was buried on 31st August 1728 at Newent. It was noted she lived at Crooke's, Oxenhall. [4]
