John was born in 1832. He was the son of John Hooker and Jane Vercoe.

Christened: 12 FEB 1832, St Just In Roseland, Cornwall, England.[1]

Arrived on Timandra 24 Feb 1842 in New Plymouth[3]

He married Hope Greenwood in 1855.[4]

He passed away on the 20th SEP 1872, in Nambuccara, New South Wales, Australia. [5][6]
