Biography

Alice Elizabeth Hooker was born in 1866. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Hooker and Elizabeth Lye. She died in 1894.

Research Notes

Her husband, Timothy Donovan, has not been identified, though Papers Past suggest there were a number of that name in NZ at that time, including in the Taranaki area. There does not appear to be a death notice. No marriage of a Hooker or Donovan to a Pope (she died as a Donovan). It is assumed that family knowledge that makes the connection with Willie Pope (1893-1967) as her child. Children to her and her husband;
