Janet (Jan) Hooks was born in Georgia, United States in 1957 to Wyatt Hooks and Sara Margaret Brannon.
Jan was an actress and comedian, best known for being a cast member of the sketch comedy television show Saturday Night Live. She was nominated for a primetime Emmy in 1998 in the category Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her recurring role as "Vicki" in the television series 3rd Rock from the Sun.
She passed away in Woodstock, New York on 9 Oct 2014. Jan was survived by two brothers.[1]
Jan is buried at the Northview Cemetery in Cedartown, Georgia.[2]
