In the Census for 1861, and aged 8 months, Charles Henry Hooley is living with his grandparents Samuel {Lambwell } and Mary Hooley in the Market Place, Long Eaton; Samuel, aged 59, is a boatman [ i.e. a bargee].
In the 1881 Census for Long Eaton, Charles Henry Hooley is described as a Bricklayer's labourer, aged 20 and grandson of a person as yet to be ascertained.
In the 1901 Census for Draycott, he is described as a being a bricklayer, aged 42, husband of Hannah whom he married in 1887.
Charles died in 1913 and was buried in Draycott Cemetery.
