Walter was born in 1869, the son of Charles Hooley and Sarah Cutts. [1]
He is described in the Census for 1901 as being employed as a Banksman.
He died in 1947.
According to Arthur Bentley Hooley [one of his grandsons], Walter was a coachman to Parson Russell of St Leonard's church in Wollaton, but was dismissed for being drunk on the job. It was after this fiasco that Walter "went down the pit" at Wollaton.
