Robert, son of John Hooley and his wife, Mary [nee Unknown] was born in July 1701 in Trowell, Nottinghamshire. In 1727 he married Sarah Mouson, in Trowell. They had some six children: John, Rachel, Robert, Thomas, Henry, and Mary. Robert Hooley died in September 1756, two years before his widow, and was buried at Wollaton.
