Biography
Charles was born in Menheniot, Cornwall in 1856. He was the son of Francis Hooper and Jane Coath.
In 1871, Charles is 15 and working as a lead miner. He is living with his parents and seven siblings at Liskeard, Cornwall. His father Francis is also a miner.
