Biography
John was born in 1691. He was the son of Henry Hooper and Mary Woolford. The birth date is unsourced. Most of my info comes from his will where he leaves his estate to his wife who is unnamed, four sons (named John Ashcom, Roger Ashcom, Samuel Ashcom, and Thomas), and two daughters named Mary and Betsy. Suggestions from Ancestry are that the wife is named Susannah with a maiden name of either Ashcom or Travers. However, these trees do not make sense when birth dates are compared so the wife's name is unknown. He passed away in 1754.
