Hi my name is Jules I have been doing my family history for over 40 years, and I find it really interesting. So much has change over the years, no more travelling up to London, no more trolling through big heavy books, fighting for a space to find that elusive ancestor, but what fun we had. Now with the invention of the world wide web and so many records coming on line, you would think that the days of just not finding someone were over, but alas you still have elusive ancestor`s. In my case it is my 3 x great grandfather. I have a marriage for him, but it does not say how old he was or who his father was, and William King is quite a common name. I know from the birth of 2 of his children he was a shipping merchant, and wonder if he is related to the Calvert, Camden and King company that was trading in London at that period. Still so many questions but no answers, how I would love to be able to time travel and ask him all my questions.

PATERNAL Hooper, (Kent, Gloucestershire,); King (London); Brooker (Kent); Rootes (Kent); Adams (London); Leuchaers (London, Scotland); Friend (London, Hampshire); Thompson (Gloucestershire); Allen (Gloucestershire); Emery (Kent); Axell (Kent); Godden (Kent); Moverley (Kent); De Kutzelben (London, Germany, America); Wrottesley, (Stafforodshire); Leverson-Gower; Grey;

MATERNAL Vickers (Yorkshire); Faihfull; Abrahams (Kent); Smales (Yorkshire) Rule (Cornwall); Roper (Kent); Mayzes/Mayes (Essex, Suffolk); Barham (Suffolk); Wotton (Kent); Osmotherley (Kent); Blackman (Kent); Grayton/Graylon (Kent, Sussex).

Hi Jules,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Hi Jules

We sent you a message about a week ago about the England Project but have not yet heard back from you. If we don't hear from you by this time next week we'll assume you no longer wish to be in the project.

Many thanks,

Susie, Gillian, Wendy and Amy

Hi Jules! I posted a copy of this Gateway Guardian sticker as a comment on Crymes-17's profile. It stays in the comments there, but this sticker is for your profile page - you can copy/paste the coding from the e-mail to your profile (feel free to change the display of your name to suit).
