Biography
Melinda was born about 1834. She was the daughter of Samuel Hooper and Sarah Harris. She married John B. Gash in 1860. They had four daughters, with two surviving to adulthood.
They were in Wayne, Illinois in 1860.[1]
John died of consumption in early 1866. She married Julius Joseph Knight. They had children.
They were in Jasper, Wayne, Illinois in 1880.[2]
They were in Oxford, Lafayette, Mississippi in 1900.[3]
She passed away after 1900. [4]
Melinda was born on 15 December 1834 in Wayne County, Illinois, United States of America. She was the daughter of Samuel Hooper and Sarah (Harris) Hooper.[5]
When Melinda was about 30 she married in 1865.[6]
In the 1880 census Melinda (age 45) was living in Jasper, Wayne, Illinois, USA.[7]
In the 1900 census Melinda (age 65) was living in Oxford, Lafayette, Mississippi, USA.[8]
