Daughter of Francis Hooper and Clementine Kirkpatrick [1]
Mary Emmeline Hooper's father Francis Jarrott Hooper was born Oct. 10, 1849 in Bradley County, Tennessee and died Dec. 13, 1897.
Francis married Sarah Clementine Kirkpatrick (born September 1849 and died after 1930). (Possibly, Francis was named for his grandfather, Jarrott Foster who lived in Bradley County, TN in 1840.)
Francis J. Hooper became President of the Hickory County, Missouri Court in November 1894. According to a descendent, George Francis Hooper in a letter to Rick Hooper dated August 6, 1991, Francis J. Hooper served on the Hickory County, Missouri County Court from 1894 to his death in December 1897.
Sarah was the daughter of James Kirkpatrick (born about 1816 died about 1890) and Elizabeth Witt (born August 1826 died after 1900). Francis and Sarah along with James and Elizabeth moved to Hickory County, Missouri before 1870 (Census 1870 pp. 13 &15). James’ parents were Joel Kirkpatrick (born about 1785 and died after 1840 in Bradley County, Tennessee) and Nancy (born about 1790 and died after 1860). A Joel Kirkpatrick had signed the bond for Isaac Geron and Anna Hankins in 1817 in Knox County, Tennessee.
