Jacob Harrison Hoover was born 13 April 1813 in German Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania and died 4 March 1854 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at McClellandtown Presbyterian Cemetery, McClellandtown, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.[1] Jacob was the son of Henry Hoover and Sarah Harrison.

Jacob Hoover (37), farmer, and his wife, Catharine (33), in household with their children, Sarah E (9), James H (7), Jesse V (5), Thomas A (1), and also Sarah (15) and Andrew (21), saddler. Sarah, James and Jesse attended school within the census year and all in household were born in Pennsylvania.[2]
