  • Christian Hoover and Marie Barron seem a better “fit” as his parents - they have a son Jose. But more concrete proof needed.

  • Executors: nephew John Hoover Byer, and Samuel Kendick
  • Will Written 2nd of May, 1845, registered June 1850, mentions:
    • To my beloved wife, Christina
    • To Samuel Kendick of Markham Twp. (50 acres) (no relationship given. He is a neighbour).
    • To my nephew, John Hoover Byer, of Markham Twp, yeoman, son of the late David Byer, yeoman, of Markham (50 acres) (wife’s nephew)
    • To my nephew, John Hoover Reymer son of Peter Reymer, yeoman (50 acres) (wife’s nephew)
    • To my niece, Anna Hoover daughter of Samuel Hoover, now living with us. (50 acres) If she dies without heirs, land goes to Jose Hoover, youngest brother.
