On 7 Feb 1920 at the time of the 1920 US Census, head of household William M. Hoover (age 26, born in CA) was employed as a Teamster doing Odd Jobs and living in a home he was renting in Mokelumne Hill, California with his wife Violet M. Hoover (age 23, born in CA), son Chester W. Hoover (age 6, born in CA) and daughter Ida I. Hoover (age 3 years 6 months, born in CA). Both of William's parents were born in California; both of Violet's parents were born in California. [1]
On 26 Apr 1930 at the time of the 1930 US Census, head of household William Hoover (age 36, born in CA) was employed as a Farm Laborer and living in a home he rented on Ygnacio Valley Road in Contra Costa, California with his wife Violet M. Hoover (age 33, born in CA), son Chester Hoover (age 16, born in CA), daughter Ida I. Hoover (age 13, born in CA), son Wayne Hoover (age 9, born in CA), and daughter Ethel Hoover (age 2, born in CA). William was first married at age 19; Violet was first married at age 16. Both of William's parents and both of Violet's parents were born in California. [2]
