Virginia Ruth HOOVER was born 07 Sep 1922 in Lincoln, North Carolina, United States.

She passed away 01 Sep 2002 in Burgaw Township, Pender, North Carolina, United States. She is buried at the Wells Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Harrells, North Carolina.[1]

Obituary:

Mrs. Virginia Ruth Carr, age 89 of Willard, NC died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, September 3, 2012 at Wells Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ed Rouse. Burial will follow at Wells Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy Gardner of Lakeland, FL, a son, Dennis Carr and wife Linda of Harrells, NC, four grandchildren, David Gardner and wife Jessica of Charlotte, NC and Darin Gardner and wife Lisa of Jacksonville, FL, Leigh Ann Vojticek and husband Brandon of Durham, NC and William Carr and wife Gerilyn of Marlton, NJ, eight great grandchildren, Kate & Hampton Gardner, Austin & Harper Gardner, Will & Reid Carr, Madelyn & Rebecca Vojticek, a brother, Harry Hoover and wife Florence of Harrells, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born September 7, 1922 in Willard, NC, Mrs. Carr was the daughter of the late Dennis Edney and Katie Mae (Jonas) Hoover and was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Currie Bland Carr. Mrs. Carr had been a longtime member of the Wells Chapel Baptist Church where she loved to sing in the Choir. Ruth also loved gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Pallbearers are: David Gardner, Darin Gardner, William Carr, Chris Hoover, Ed Thornton Jr. and Gary Blake
