On 2 Jan 1828, Matilda Jane Hoover was born in Ashland County, Ohio, USA to John A. Hoover (1797-1868) and Deborah Sidden (1805-1847). Matilda married Stephen Mapes in 1848. On 13 Dec 1886, Matilda Jane (Hoover) Mapes died at age 58. Matilda was buried at Loudonville Cemetery in Loudonville, Ashland County, Ohio, USA. [1]
