On 5 January 1920, the Hoovers lived at 570 Brooks Street in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas. They owned their home.[5]

Maxola was married on 21 August 1940 at the Sulphur Rock Methodist Church in Sulphur Rock to George Beverly Owens.[1]
Maxola died from carcinoma of the breast on 24 July 1962 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.[2]
Maxola was buried in Sulphur Rock Cemetery in Sulphur Rock, Independence County, Arkansas.[3]
